Citibank launched an assault on British market:
- US group opened telephone service and plans 20 outlets as part of move towards global retail network
- 24-hour telephone service and plans for more than 20 outlets.
The bank, attempting to build a global retail network appealing to people who travel widely and expatriates.
- Customers will be able to manage their account around the world in more than 12 currencies.
The bank is expected to launch a personal computer banking system in 1995.
