Muyoba, 64, in Court for 'Raping' a Pig

Lusaka - A 64-year-old Lusaka man yesterday told a magistrates court that he had wanted to have sex with a pig last month but was caught in the act. Before magistrate Fidas Chababa was Wilson Muyoba of Lusaka's Makeni area.

Muyoba, who works for Jacks Company maintaining fences, has been charged with bestiality that on June 28, 1997 in Lusaka, he had carnal knowledge of a pig. He admitted having wanted to 'sleep' with the pig but someone came and disturbed him.

"When I was about to penetrate with my penis, someone came and I stopped," Muyoba told the stunned court room. This prompted the magistrate to record a plea of not guilty on his behalf because he did not have actual carnal knowledge of the pig.

Trial starts on August 7, 1997. He is remanded in custody.
